I could not wait long to post this. I just heard about this hot dog testimonial and ran to the nearby cyber cafe to post this.
Two evangelists had been to a trip in Indonesia and decided to have a quick meal at a nearby restaurant. One of them deciced to have a traditional Indonesian meal, comprising of rice and grilled chicken with a typical Indonesian sauce. The other evangelist wanted to have a Hot Dog. Both the evangelists ordered there meals and the former one got his meal served within half an hour, while the other one had waited for more than an hour.
The evangelist who had ordered Hot dogs called the waiter and asked him the reason for the delay. To this the waiter replied that all the dishes that were ordered were served together. When asked for spotting the hot dog, he pointed towards a dish that contained dog meat and was spiced with lots of cayenne pepper and seasoned with a hot sauce.
So, this is not a traditional sausage burger, the evangelist ended up having the traditional Indonesian delicacy.
In Indonesia dog meat is served as the main course spiced up with hot red pepper paste. Dog meat is also added to soups and stews. Next time you are in Indonesia, do not order hot dogs and if you are in a mood of eating hot dogs, search for what it is called in Indonesia and be sure you don’t end up with the weird experience of the evangelist.
