The recent records as reported by the Guinness Book Of World Records shows that Bremen Pie has broken all records with 2020 pounds. Earlier this position was enjoyed by 418 pounds pumpkin pie from Windsor, Calif. This pie was organized by Alpen Rose Restaurant Manager Frank Scimeca. Scimeca was dissatisfied because the pie was was 3 inches thick and 12 feet in diameter, which did not qualify to the pie standards of Guinness Book. As per Scimeca:
Certainly it did not meet, in our opinion, what (Guinness) said should be the proper proportion.
However, Guinness Book confirmed this February that the Bremen Pie is a record holder along with a consolation to 678 pounds, pumpkin pie baked in celebration of Resthaven Patrons’ 60th anniversary. Scimeca is concentrating on setting a new record to make the world’s biggest pizza or lasagne.
