Criticism from some religious/conservative minded folk didn’t deter the expressive Veena Malik from carrying on with her reality show flair. She is now participating in another Indian reality show called Big Toss, a production of India TV that started on February 17, 2011. 
Big Toss is themed on World Cup Cricket 2011 and has 14 housemates who would live together in a house (just like Bigg Boss) and play cricket-related games. Each episode will evict a participant and the winner will get a brand new car for the prize. In addition to Veena Malik, famous item girl Rakhi Sawant is also appearing in the show as a lead contestant.
In the inaugural ceremony of the show, Veena Malik was brought to the stage in a traditional “doli” (used for carrying brides) to dance on stage on the popular “Sheela Ki Jawani” song. When asked whom she would like to have her heart, she boldly named Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh and said that she would like Singh to hit those famous six sixes again. Veena and Rakhi will be leading the show, which is a said to be an imitation of Bigg Boss.
After acting in Bigg Boss Season 4, Veena Malik became the object of controversy for some people in Pakistan who considered her intimacy with the show’s male stars as “immoral”. Now she seems to have stepped in potentially stormy waters by praising Indian cricketers and becoming all things India. So far, Pakistani media has not covered her participation in the show. One wonders what is behind this silence. Another storm?
