$1149 Tennent lager can: Holy-Grail for Beer-Can collectors

rtryrxI cannot believe the inestimable value of a can of beer. An antique beer of can without any beer in it is compared to the Holy Grail. This is a 16oz can, of the 45 years old Tennent lager, with picture of the Oban harbor on it and it is a part of series of other cans with Scots beauty spots on the cans. This can is invaluable as the cans were thrown away long back and not a single beer-can collector has the complete collection of Tennent cans having the exotic Scottish locations.

However, one such can is set to an auction on ebay by American dealer David Harris, of Missouri, for a bid of $1149. David has already been contacted by the beer can lovers and I am sure that the bid is going to sky-rocket beyond the set price, after taking into account the esteem given to this can as the “Holy Grail” of beer cans…especially when the beer can is available in a good-condition without rust and dented labels. As said by Glasgow-based antiques dealer Steven Curry and the collector Tennent’s cans:

This is the Holy Grail for beer can collectors – the series of Scottish scenes is exceptionally rare and you almost never see one in such good condition being put on the market.

You can wait and watch the extent to which the wild bid for the most inexpensive can goes-up.
