Award for the Best Original Score was taken by Gustavo Santaolalla for Brokeback Mountain. It was the first award won by Ang Lee’s gay romance tale on Sunday evening.
Brokeback Mountain was being expected as the biggest winner at Oscars this year but it could grab only three awards including Best director and Best adapted Screenplay.
