Police warn Heather Mills of safety threats

Police have warned Paul McCartney’s estranged wife and former model Heather Mills that she may me targeted of violent retaliations from criminals. Sussex Police gave her a panic alarm so that she could trigger to get a quick police response at her home in Hove, a community near Brighton.

However, Paul had previously provided Mills with bodyguards and still does, when she is with their daughter Beatrice — but had withdrawn the guards when their divorce grew bitter.

Bernie Murphy of the Sussex Police Force Command, based in the southern coastal town of Brighton said,

Police are satisfied there’s no imminent risk to Mills McCartney. The threat was risk-assessed. Local officers have been fully briefed regarding the circumstances and provision has been made for an immediate police response should this be necessary.

Mills is frightened by the threats and is worried about her daughter Beatrice as she could be hurt. Mills rep said, ‘She is frightened, but she’s more worried about Bea than anything else.’

Mills and McCartney’s divorce battle has grown bitter. Previously Heather’s website was flooded with abusive mails. Mills has been receiving threats since her separation from the former Beatle Paul McCartney in May. The couple had been married four years and have a daughter, Beatrice.
