Arkansas City Chamber of Commerce is giving the perfect gift this Valentine with the annual Blues and Chocolate Festival, which is going to commence on 4th of February and will keep your spirits high until 25th of this month.
Guess what for them who spend there leisure time hunting for chocolates will be a given a full-fledged opportunity this time as the event will start with the Chocolate Scavenger Hunt. The hunt might be aimed at making the participants acquainted with the products, but it is all about giving generous rewards to those who hunt for a piece of chocolate. They will be starting the hunt from Arkansas City Fire Department and from there on 16 local businesses will give them 25 clues each to reach to the final piece of chocolate, and guess what, with every clue that is cracked the participant will be entitled to a grand draw of prizes. So you just let the chain go and you can’t even imagine that you will be having more by the time you reach to a piece of chocolate. On Feb 11th, there will be chocolate cooking demos by Carol House and Tammey Dickey, which will feature the making and serving of chocolate ganache, truffles, candies, cookies. The Chocolate exploration will become intense on Feb 18th as Wood Chiropractic will sponsor a “Chocolate Library” at the Arkansas City Public Library. This day will be solely for children and Aloha what a way to give them a chocolate treat. There will be story time based on chocolate themed books followed by a visit to a Chocolate Factory. Finally the festival will end as it begun with yet another contest on chocolate cooking based on four categories candies, cookies and bars, delicious desserts and sugarless desserts.
This festival will have the most exotic ending with Spectacular Wine and Chocolate Fantasy, featuring a wine auction and gourmet chocolates. The tickets are limited and it costs $25, so don’t miss the fun touched with perfection.
