Preity Zinta seems to be over the moon because of her bad-girl-role in Rituparno Ghosh’s ‘The Last Lear’.
She says:
Playing a bad actor against Mr. Bachchan was a pleasure, especially when I had a director like Rituparno Ghosh to direct me to be bad on camera. Ritu creates magic, and is so composed. He kept trying a range of wigs on his shaved head and we had a ball just watching him try out with his looks. As for my looks, you’ve got to witness for yourself what Ritu has done with me. I’ve never looked like this before. It was all so much pleasurable, and the environment on the sets was so cool and light that we didn’t realize we were making a very serious flick.
While the Bachchan senior plays an expert Shakespearean artist, Preity slips into the bad actor of the troupe in the movie.

I believed I was delivering my dialogues in good English….until I listened to Mr. Bachchan orate Shakespearean dialogues in his baritone…
