Britney Spears, who is currently in rehab has been reportedly suffering from bulimia since she was 16 years old.
According to US reports, the bald pop tart revealed the eating disorder to the doctors at rehab facility Promises in Malibu, California after she was forced to examine her unhealthy lifestyle.
An unnamed source revealed that the 25-year-old, mother of two has been diagnosed with mental health problem bipolar disorder – manic depression. Despite an early diagnosis, her eating disorder is hindering her speedy recovery. The source was quoted saying in American publication the Star,
Britney is on medication for bipolar disorder, but the pills are not staying in her system because she is bulimic and is throwing them up before they can help her.
The source added that Britney used to love junk food, chips, candy, cola and ice cream, but struck by guilty, she later used to vomit it all out. The only thing that encouraged her to eat was pregnancy during which she literally pigged.
