Actress Mischa Barton, 21, known for her role as Marissa Cooper for the hit television series The OC was hospitalized after a medicine reaction.

The English born American actress was advised antibiotics for bronchitis that she had contracted during her travels to Cannes, Paris and London. These antibiotics interacted badly with her alcohol she had at a party over this Memorial Day weekend.

However, things were fine for the Octane star after a two-hour stay at the hospital and she was well enough to travel for her shoots.

Publicist Leslie Sloane of BWR Public Relations said:

She is fine now and left for an overseas location to begin production on a new film.

Barton’s debut film Lawn Dogs has won several awards at film festivals around the world. She has made her appearance in several films, such as The Sixth Sense, Notting Hill, and Lost and Delirious. She starred for three years on Fox’s highly rated teen drama that won her the 2006 Teen Choice Award.
