Alan Davies, popularly known to millions by his TV name Jonathan Creek, was found last night in a much too different role in real life. Yesterday at 2 am, when Alan was a little drunk and was outside the Groucho Club in West London, a homeless man named Paul McElfatrick walked towards him calling him by his TV name, Alan suddenly turned aggressive and bit him on his ears.
He bit the man in his left ear and that too so hard that he even drew blood and the biting almost continued for 13 seconds. Although Alan has apologized saying that normally he is not an aggressive man and blamed that 40-year-old McElfatrick got aggressive and used abuse language, which persuaded him to act like that.
According to Alan he was very much disturbed and emotional because he had attended the funeral of Jonathan Creek producer, Verity Lambert. Talking to his former girl friends, all of them agreed that he was nice and charming at one moment but miserable at another.
Looking at his childhood, he has been derived of that parental love because his mother died at very early age and his father sent him all-boys public school where he rebelled and ended to be a ‘a pathological shoplifter’. But it was his acting and the role of Jonathan Creek that changed his life and made him famous too.
His inhumanly behaviour is going to put Alan in a very exclusive category of celebrities because there had been a few of such incidents in past years among the celebrities. Mike Tyson had bit his opponent’s ear in 1997 and was banned for a year and ten-years-ago Vinnie Jones, a footballer turned into a Hollywood star, had attacked a journalist on his nose in a drunk state in Dublin. Though Davis is being saved from being dropped from the line up as stated by the makers of Q1.
