The former I’m a Celebrity star, David Gest, who is known for his vulgarity was seen dressed up like his ex-wife Liza Minnelli on December 13. Liza is currently under treatment in US hospital after she collapsed on stage last week. In the Twisted Carol panto, David was starring ‘Tranny Granny’ in which he appeared dressed in his ex-wife’s style with a dramatic eye make-up.
The pair had a bitter divorce in 2006 where Gest had accused that Cabaret star Liza was carrying a sexually transmitted disease and Minnelli blamed that he tried to poison her.
Liza, Judy Garden’s daughter, was suffering from bad health in past years and has been treated for alcoholism too. She had collapsed on stage early this week while performing in Sweden and was immediately taken to the hospital on December 13. She was performing in Goteberg on Wednesday in a Christmas show and after finishing the fourth act as she walked off the stage she passed out. She was performing along with other Swedish artists in ‘A Classic Christmas Night’.
