Hannah Montana stars, Billy Ray Cyrus and daughter Miley Cyrus will host the forthcoming 2008 Country Music Television Music Awards. The awards ceremony is scheduled for April 14, at Curb Event Center, Belmont University.
Besides hosting the Country Music awards the father and daughter will also entertain audience with their special performance that is believed to be a duet,??? Ready, Set, Don’t Go???. Dad Billy Ray is thrilled to host the award function with 15-year-old Miley and said:
Miley and I are so excited to be hosting the CMT Music Awards. We know it will be a fun-filled night with a lot of great music performances.
Stars like Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Sugarland, Taylor Swift and Toby Keith are confirmed performers at the Nashville event. More names of entertainers will be revealed in coming weeks. The voting for the Annual awards closes on March 6. Each year the awards are given to twelve categories of music genre and this year Paisley seems to be winning the Video of the Year and Male Video of the Year as he is dominating the first round of nominees with six counts.
