Jamie Spears, Britney Spears’ father and her conservator has further got an extension to his conservatorship status till july 31st, 2008. A Los Angeles court granted , Jamie Spears, whose conservatorship was about to expire on 3rd march, this extension in view of Jamie taking good care of Britney.
July 31st, 2008 is the day when Britney Spears’ court hearing regarding custody and visitation rights, challenging her former husband and father of her two children, Kevin Federline a.k.a K-Fed comes up. For the past couple of weeks, Jamie has managed to keep his daughter Britney, who is undergoing treatment for bi-polar disorder, from trouble.
This considering the fact that Britney has not been in the news for some time now for her antics like hanging around gas stations and public restrooms. This conservatorship is very crucial to Britney as it will hugely determine her chances of getting back her children’s custody from K-fed. Jamie also has been praised by many as he is seen as someone who genuinely cares for Britney and someone who desperately wants to save his very troubled daughter from further trouble in the midst of various people who are trying to exploit Britney even in her darkest days.
The court also has allowed Jamie to draw $2500 weekly from Britney’s account as a reward for his good work in the past few weeks from February this year when he was first appointed conservator to Britney’s legal and financial affairs along with court appointed observer Andrew Wallet. The court also ordered $58800 from Britney’s estate to be remitted to pay the court attorney and $9000 to her psychiatrists. Also, the court granted Jamie permission to rent a car suspending a previous misdemeanour driving sentence. Here is hoping, Jamie takes care of Britney and finally gets her out of the horrid mess she has gotten her life into.
