The Anna Nicole Smith story just refuses to die. Even after one long year after the troubled, former playboy playmate???s tragic death due to combined drug intoxication in february,2007.
In a latest development, the late playmate???s 18 month old daughter, Dannielynn Hope Marshall Birkhead has officially been declared as the sole heir to the late playmate and her late husband Howard J Marshall???s estate. The baby was named the official heir on march 4th, this year, after a Los Angeles judge approved a request by Howard.K.Stern acting as an executor for the late playmate???s will. The Judge also estabilished a trust for Daniellynn naming Stern and Daniellynn???s biological father, Larry Birkhead as co-trustees.
Stern, Anna’s companion when she died, incidentally had a legal battle with Larry Birkhead, Anna’s former boyfriend and hollywood tabloid photographer, over Daniellynn’s paternity in the Bahamas. Later, a Bahamian court declared Birkhead to be Daniellynn’s father. The judgement also comes as very crucial considering the fact that Anna Nicole Smith had written the will five years prior to Danielynn???s birth and the words used in the will were ambiguous and unclear in naming a heir. This, particularly due to the untimely death of the late playmate???s 20 year old son, Daniel Wayne Smith,born out of wedlock to her first husband,Billy Wayne Smith. Daniel succumbed to drug overdose in, september 2006.
Said an Attorney for Mr Stern,
We and Mr. Stern always believed that Anna Nicole never intended to disinherit her daughter. I???m pleased to say this chapter in the saga is closed
The still unsolved legal dispute between Ms Smith and the oil baron’s first son is the main impediment to the baby getting any part of the estate. The octogenarian oil billionaire, Howard.J.Marshall married Ms Smith in june 1994. Mr Marshall died in 1995 leaving a huge estate which soon became mired in legal trouble with the oil baron’s first son and Anna Nicole Smith fighting legally over the will.
Now,it would be interesting to see which way the legal dispute that the late playmate???s estate is mired in, goes in the coming months.The Late Anna Nicole Smith will not be forgotten in a hurry
