The silent sufferers of ‘global paradox’ are slaps in the face of advocates of neo-rich policies introduced by Congress government in early 90s. These people who leave their homes in hope of better future can be located in all the major cities of India. Gopals, Nishants of Delhi are no better than Ram Lals, Mohans waiting for clients at Labour crossing in Allahabad.
Surprisingly, the way Nishant, a migrant labour, depicts faith in the grace of Lord Krishna is indicative not only of religion’s influence but also highlights presence of values in lives of people reeling under unspeakable problems. Perhaps, they are better than people environed by plastic values, prejudices, who care a damn for lower echelon. They mow down the people on streets yet have the guts to claim innocence in Courts.
I would like to know from you people why print media wastes precious pages on glorification of insignificant acts of these spoilt brats instead of highlighting the sense of value encircling Nishants?
