Rapper Foxy Brown faces a June trial as she pleaded innocent this Wednesday to two charges levelled against her after an alleged scuffle at a beauty supply outlet in Pembroke Pines.
The sexy Chyna Doll star, whose real name is Inga Marchand, was charged in February with battery and resisting arrest without violence. According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the 27-year-old was fuming as she yelled outside the courthouse:
I am going to stand up and fight and take care of this.
Judge Joel Lazarus, who set the June trial date, had issued an arrest warrant after the rapper failed to show up for a scheduled court date, which was withdrawn on Wednesday after defense lawyers cited that the notice telling Brown about the date was mailed to an old address.
The arrest report said that Brown messed with an employee at Queen Beauty Supply, when she was asked to leave as the store was closed. Brown, who was applying beauty products in the bathroom, refused and threw hair glue at the employee. When the employee dialled 911, Brown allegedly spat on him. She even struggled with the police officer who responded to the call. She was released on a $1,500 bond.
Foxy Brown is a childhood friend of rapper Jay-Z, who is now president of Def Jam Records. Brown’s new album Black Roses is expected soon.
