In April 2014, Stan released the unusual pop ballad “Thanks For Leaving”, a deviation from her more pop electronica sound. The song is one of Stan’s most raw, speaking of the end of a relationship but also of new beginnings and the promise they offer us, and the joy of discovering yourself again. A month later, the dance track,“Cherry Pop” was released and once more was adored by her fans.In July, a third single was released, titled “Dance”, and enjoyed enormous success in Japan, where Stan is a musical favourite, immediately climbing to the top 20 of the official iTunes charts.

Most recently, Stan performed Cher’s hit single ‘Strong Enough’in Catalan, at the philanthropic event, ‘La Marató’, a charity project initiated by television Catalan TV3, Barcelona. While in Spain she headlined at Carnival Las Palmas in Gran Canaria. Las Palmas Carnival is one of the oldest festivals in Spain, even celebrated in the city of the same name, Las Palmas of Gran Canaria- the first mention of the festival dating back to the 15th century, since 1478.The festival is famous for its spectacular shows filled with highly dynamic and visual performance and choreography. It was at this prestigious event that Alexandra Stan was invited to be a guest of honour and performed as a main act.

Stan also performed in Poland, headlining the Disco Festival in Lodz, singing with great emotion and joy,to and alongside a Polish audience of around 10,000 in number, a selection of her most popular songs such as “Lollipop”, “Mr. Saxobeat “and” We Want”.

Stan released her most recent tracks in June of this year, the song‘I Wanna’, which saw her collaborate with fellow Romanian musician, Inna and in November, The song “I Did It, Mama”. The song was received exceptionally well. The video, a celebration of the sensual and exciting, is directed by Bogdan Daragiu (produced by Sebastian Barac, Marcel Botezan and Swedish producersJson Chanel and Eric Turner) and Alexandra Stan plays the femme fatale, a siren with an irresistible voice. The track is rebellious and daring, a response to the suffocating and conservative mentality of some parents, but still retains Stan’s trademark optimism and energetic vocals.
