If not better, American Idol definitely performed at par with last year???s ratings in terms of viewer-ship and popularity on television networks, and a huge chunk of credit for this goes to Jennifer Lopez who not just added to the star factor of the show but also kept the judging panel lively with her share of inputs. Having experienced the thrill of a singing reality show, Jennifer Lopez now intends to start her own music reality show.
Proposed to go on air somewhere in the future, Lopez plans to rope in her singer husband Marc Antony and go touring Latin America in search of undiscovered musical talent for her show. The If You Had My Love hitmaker also intends to team up with Idol producer Fuller and his firm XIX Entertainment in a bid to shop her proposed project Que Viva to broadcasting networks.
However, considering the nascent stage at which planning for her own show is in does prompt one to wonder if J Lo would make an appearance in the next season of American Idol. Her popularity on Idol has made her a very safe bet and Fox would definitely want to retain her considering that Steven Tyler has already been signed on for the coming season. Internal sources are already anticipating Lopez too continue for the next season. Whether Lopez stays or not is definitely debatable, but let???s not forget that in the past judge Randy Jackson had successfully juggled between MTV???s America???s Best Dance Crew and Fox???s American Idol, so hopefully it won???t be tough for Lopez either.
