Its been reported that celebrity Amy Winehouse’s 25-year-old husband, Blake Fielder-Civil has shaved off his hair to give himself a more ‘prison inmate’ look. He is serving prison terms at the London’s Pentonville prison after he was charged of physically attacking a country barman and then subsequently, manipulating the judicial law in his favor.
It is also reported that Blake was desperately trying hard to adjust with the other inmates in the jail. Now, with all hairs shaved off, he would surely not look an outcast among the other prisoners. Interestingly, Blake is eager to learn slang languages in use in the prison, that will indeed help him improve his communication with others.
Recently, one of his inmates overheard him almost begging to his 24-year-old wife, Amy, to free him from the terrible prison life. He heard Blake cry,
I can’t cope! There must be something you can do to get me out.
The inmate also said,
Christmas is always grim but Blake is finding it particularly bad. He shaved his head and had razor nicks all over it…He looks awful.He tells everyone he’s going back to his ‘peter,’ which is Cockney slang for cell. He wants to be accepted.
A friend disclosed that Pete Doherty was giving prison advice to Blake. He added,
Blake feels very vulnerable. As well as threats he faces in jail, he fears Amy’s friends will use his time in prison to come between them and try to split them up…He has asked Pete to look after Amy and fight his corner to make sure he doesn’t get shut out…Pete has a soft spot for Blake, who has always idolized him, and has promised to do his best.
The report surely indicates how desperate Blake is to make himself acceptable among other inmates and does not want him to be sidelined in the prison. Whether this image make-over will help him in achieving that is highly uncertain.
