Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt reportedly said to have bought an island in the artificial island built a little off the coast of Dubai. This was published in the Wednesday edition of newspaper, Emirates Today. According to the newspaper, they both want to set an example of environmental friendly lifestyle and to promote environmental issues among the people. They even want to make this island an exhibition on ecological issue and the couple believe that people will be motivated to adopt it in their lifestyle, according to the English-language daily.
The island they are said to have bought is a part of the mega real estate of 300 islands named as ‘The World’ and it is still under construction. Angelina and Brad Pitt are not the only one who have bought the property there but their neighbours will be billionaire Richard Branson and singer Rod Stewart. The mega project is said to be near completion and has covered 5.5 million sq. meter, including 930,000 sq. meter of beach. The price of the island varies from 6.2 millions to 36.7 million. The distance between two islands is 100 meters and the islands measure between 11,148 and 41, 806 sq. meter.
