There are certain customs or traditions, call them whatever you want to, that over centuries and decades have retained their utility and usability in modern day lifestyle, in spite of all the developments that have occurred in day-to-day technology. One simple and yet, so very useful and in vogue tradition, is the sticking of notes as reminders and other purposes to impart a message to other family members. Honored over time, no one has given a thought to developing this age old practice. However, technology which has creeped in, down to our very roots has laid its hand of sophistication and development in every corner of our house, has finally laid it grasp on this so simple home device.
The Chinese company, Ankaka, has released their all new gadget, the Digital Video Memo. This is a novel instrument from their stables that completely digitalizes the medium of the paper note on the fridge. With its interesting and even useful additional features, it will serve as an useful instrument to replace the time immemorial paper memo.
This miniscule, in terms of size and shape, device boasts of being able to hold any video or audio message that needs to be recounted to the other family members. Armed with an 1.44 inch LCD screen and an internal memory of 4 MB, it can virtually hold any message that needs to be related. The recording format is *.avi, and the most useful little feature is the additional small LED light, that blinks, and as such acts as a reminder or a notifier to other members of the family that there are messages that need to be read. The battery on this device is 390 mAh, which boosts up this device for upto 40 minutes in recording mode, and on standby mode, can support on and on for seven days, which is more than enough. The camera is powerful enough for so minute a device, 18 frames per second, and moreover, it is almost a mini video player, in that you can replay and record, and also, of course delete the video message. There has been much thought that has gone into the manufacture of the device, thus allowing it to blend in with other memos on the fridge or photos or whatever knick knacks you keep on the fridge. The small lagnet at the rear end of the device quite comfortably allows you to keep it on your fridge for easy handling and reachability of secondary house members. All in all, a handy little device to spice up the age old experience of an age old medium, adding a new flavor to it.
