Konkona Sen Sharma, the talented actor of Bollywood is now fully into commercial cinema as is evident from her latest releases. The actor who is the daughter of the talented actor-director Aparna Sen stepped into the filmdom with offbeat cinemas where she proved her mettle as an actor to reckon with.
However, Konkona has of late made forays into mainstream Hindi cinema with her latest movie, ‘Laga Chunri Me Daag’. Currently she is shooting for another commercial cinema called ‘Right or Wrong’ with first time co-star Sunny Deol and old co-star Irfan Khan.
Right now Konkona is very upbeat with ‘Laga Chunri Me Daag’ and specially her co-star in the film Kunal Kapoor. In an interview, Konkona said that she and Kunal are constantly ribbing each other. While Kunal calls her the National-award type, she calls Kunal sex-symbol type.
Did Konkona have any inhibitions kissing Kunal on screen?’It’s not a big deal,’says the actor. She had done such kissing scene in an earlier movie Mixed Doubles.
As for acting with Jaya Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee in Laga Chunri Me Daag, it was a rather nice experience. The atmosphere was comfortable and homely for the actor hailing from Kolkata with the majority of the crew being Bengali. Though she has some problem with Hindi, she hopes to master the language soon.
