BBM App from Blackberry to reach iOS and Android devices soon

Are you a smartphone user who had just moved from a Blackberry phone to a new iPhone or Android device? If yes, there would surely be one feature that you are missing and that is the Blackberry’s BBM (Blackberry Messenger) service app for instant messaging. If that is true for you, there is some good news! You are not going to miss chatting with your friends anymore as Blackberry is soon going to bring its BBM app on your device too. Yes, it has now decided to launch this app on all Android and iOS devices. This is again great news for those users who have been stuck to use only Blackberry as other operating systems do not offer this service.

Blackberry has announced that the BBM app is going to support all devices on iOS6 and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or higher operating systems. The launch of the app is still to be approved by Google Play and the Apple App Store. Blackberry said that it could be available by the coming summer season. So, your Android or iPhone would soon be able to send and receive chats from multiple users. You will also be able to share pictures and voice notes through any mentioned smartphone as you still do or used to do from your Blackberry. You will additionally be able to manage BBM groups through which you can create specific groups in which to categorize your contacts. There specific groups can be created for up to 30 people.

This is an important and user-friendly decision that has been taken by Blackberry after understanding the immediate user needs of texting over the Internet. The regular texting from a phone is sucking for a user at times, because it not only is quite slower as compared to BBM but also consumes a lot of data on the user’s mobile plan. BBM can easily support you to stay in touch and send instant messages to friends, colleagues and family members through your Android smartphone or iPhone. There are also some BBM channels announced by Blackberry. If you have checked out the new Channels feature on LinkedIn, it is somewhat similar to that. For Blackberry users, these BBM channels would allow following a celebrity, business, group, or brand that is of interest to them.

So, you can now make a complete choice of your latest smartphone when Blackberry would be offering you almost all BBM services through its smartphone BBM app. There would not be any hassles in instantly connecting with your family and friends at any time and from anywhere as BBM is around the corner!
