It doesn’t surprise me a bit that Sachin’s heroics after setting a new world record has started a new debate. It is time the Government of India confers on him the Bharat Ratna — India’s highest civilian award. Leading the chorus are our own Kapil Paji, Ajit Wadekar, Dilip Vengsarkar who have been very vocal in advocating Sachin does deserves such an acknowledgement.
It would be interesting to see how the Government of India re-acts this time. If an actor or actress can receive it by mere show of skin and acting skills, Sachin does ten times more than it. He not only shows his skin and skill, but also Sweats, which not many film actors/actress do. For, Sachin believes in the old adage – Success is SWEET , but the secret is SWEAT !
