Popular as the serial kisser in Bollywood, Emraan Hashmi seems to be experimenting with himself. The Bollywood actor who has already spent 10 years in Bollywood has created a new genre of mainstream movies in the industry.
Emraan was candid in admitting that it took him pretty long for getting acceptance in the industry. He pointed out that he never compared himself with any actor, neither was deter by the tag of serial kisser, even when he was making effort to find some mainstream movies.
The star admits that it took a while for him to get acceptance in the industry and filmmakers like Vishal Bhardwaj and Karan Johar are now approaching him. The star has of late started experimenting with movies and is getting good appreciation from fans. Emraan admitted that during the first five years of his career he ended up doing similar kind of roles and this helped him create a new genre of movies that were rarely seen in the industry. However, now the actor is getting distinct kind of roles and this has given him the opportunity to experiment a lot. Emraan says that he is now looking for better scripts and challenging roles. His main endeavour is to work with directors who can help him explore the various genre of creativity, so as to help him achieve professional success and creative satisfaction at the same time.
Emraan admitted that at times he has worked in movies that could not turn into a successful venture. However, knowing the same he tried a hand at these movies because he needed to satisfy his creative instinct. He however pointed out that he never compared his success to other Bollywood actors.
The star was quite vocal in admitting to the fact that the image of serial kisser has not left him, despite trying his level best. He infact pointed out that he was tired of kissing on screen. However, producers insistence and the demand of the script is such that at times he has to go for it. He admitted that now he does not pay much attention to this fact and instead focuses on work.
It seems that kissing is synonym with Emraan and the star willingly or unwillingly has to relent to the demands of the script. Despite this image of him being projected and accepted widely, Emraan has managed to do some films that brought out the creative aspect of the star to the focus. Infact, Emraan Hashmi has some interesting projects lined for release. This will bring out a new face of the actor who has a lot of hidden potential. Three movies are lined up for release and the fans of Emraan are expecting a lot from the star.
The movies are Rajkumar Gupta’s Ghanchakkar, Karan Johar’s Unglee and a Hollywood movie directed by Danis Tanovic. Perhaps, the coming year will be a game changer for the actor and his fans will relish the experience.
