What’s more shocking is that some of them are even linked up with crime world. Here’s a list of some famous Bollywood celebrities who have been charged with serious crimes and even went to jail for the offense. Some of them are still awaiting a verdict.
Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay Dutt is the first name that comes to mind ever since he was sentenced to jail for five years as per Supreme court’s decision. He was charged under TADA (Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act)to be involved in illegal possession of drugs, AK-56 rifle, and 9mm pistol. It was also said to have links with Abu Salem and even help hidden illegal arms and grenades. Now he is out of jail, but he confessed in an interview that it was the toughest time of his life and now he feels happy to be free again.
Salman Khan
How can we forget the “Bhai” of Bollywood when talking about controversies. Be it his love life or serious criminal offenses, Salman Khan seems to be disputes’ favorite child. He is facing charges of killing two Black Bucks and two Chinkaras back in 1998 when he was shooting for his film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ in Jodhpur. Even his co-actors Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Sonali Bendre and Tabu were involved.
After that, he again got into another big controversy, when he was accused of killing a 28-year-old man and causing injuries to others in a hit and run case. It is said he was under the influence of alcohol when he was driving. These cases are still going for years now.

He has been already involved in the case of killing Black Buck with co-actor Salman Khan, and then the Nawab of Bollywood again got involved in an assault case. A South-African entrepreneur accused him of assault for brawling with him at a suburban hotel.

The entire nation was in shock when his 20-year-old domestic help accused him of molesting and raping her. Initially, he denied all the accusations but later confessed to his awful crime. According to the medical reports, the maid’s private parts were injured brutally. Supreme Court sentenced him six years imprisonment.

In 2012, Badshah of Bollywood accused Maharashtra Cricket Association officials of manhandling his friends as well as his daughter. But the blame game continued and even the officials accused the actor of being drunk and brawling with them. Thereafter, he has been banned from entering Wankhede stadium for five years.

This is one Khan that’s never been popular for his films, but surely for his criminal charges. In 2001, he was caught with cocaine and also accused of often buying drugs illegally. For this crime, he was sentenced to five years in jail. Maybe the punishment was not enough for him, so he again was charged with for the same crime – possessing one gram of cocaine. He was again charged with special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act Court.
