There is no doubt about the singing capability of Boy George, but with scandals continuously surfacing in his life, his infamy seems to outlive his music. The most recent charge on Boy George has been made of false imprisonment by a male escort, who claims that he was chained to a wall in the former singer’s London flat during a weird photographic session, and was forced to escape wearing just his underpants.

Some twenty years ago, it was revealed by Boy George’s younger brother that the singer was deep into drugs and was battling an £800-a-day heroin habit, denying all help from the family. George accepted the fact, in tears, and disclosed that he would not live long due to the heavy intake of heroine, getting all king of unwanted media attention in return.

Despite this, no one could question his genuine musicianship, exclusive songwriting skill, a magnetic performing talent, visual finesse, and his ability to perform with a spellbinding influence.

Being a junkie didn’t kill him of course, but physically ruined him, his eyes lost the sparkle, his face missed the glow and his teeth became discolored. Not to talk about the frequent police raids, arrests, hearings, wild chases, and everything associated with it.

Now he is 47, and makes living selling bizarre outfits from fashion shop on London’s Shop. And, he plays music of other artists these days, ruining his illustrious career – a story of self-destruction personified!
