It seems playing Achilles in Troy has kindled a kind of love towards mythical figures in Brad Pitt’s mind. The hunky star is now going to give us another glimpse of his ability to play mythical figures with perfection. He is all prepared to play Odysseus in Warner Bros’ upcoming adaptation of Homer’s The Odyssey, albeit with a futuristic twist.
The film, to be directed by George Miller, will revolve around the Greek general Odysseus’ 10-year journey from the Trojan War to his home in Ithaca. I think this film will prove a milestone for Brad because of two reasons. First, the subject is gripping and almost fail-proof and second, because Warner Bros will leave no stone unturned, while highlighting the topsy-turvy adventures of Odysseus, through the three worlds. I’m sure the film will be a delight to watch.
Meanwhile, I feel Brad is gradually transforming into a more sober person. Maybe the concern for his ever-expanding family has succeeded in doing, what Aniston and Jolie failed to achieve!
