A young woman escaped death in Escobedo, Nuevo Leon when her breast implant lessened the force and prevented a knife, her boyfriend impaled in her chest, from reaching her heart.
Twenty year old Marilu Carranza Garcia received a 5 cm. wound in the left chest and was admitted to University Hospital, while the municipal police arrested the boyfriend who claimed the young woman’s infidelities were to blame for the attack .
According to the police report, the attack was committed at about 14:30 pm in the victim’s home located in Cerro del León.
The victim’s family complained to police that the detainee arrived at the house and the two started to talk, but suddenly started arguing.
Witnesses claimed that the boyfriend, 28 year old Adrián Solis Gonzalez, accused Carranza Garcia of infidelity, which the victim immediately denied.
The situation became violent when the detainee pulled a knife from his clothes and brutally stabbed his girlfriend once in the chest.
The weapon struck the young woman in the left side of her chest before she fell to the floor.
Relatives called the Red Cross and the Police.
Carranza Garcia was treated by paramedics who found that the breast implant literally saved the young woman’s life as it prevented the knife from entering her heart.
The victim was taken to University Hospital and was later reported in stable condition.
