Britney slammed by Humane society

britney slammed by humane society

Why does everything that Britney does become news?

This time it is the most unlikely – The Humane Society of the United States, which has launched an attack on the pop tart. The society has expressed concern over Britney being a celebrity idol buying a purebred Yorkshire Terrier puppy at a pet store.

Expressing the concern, the Society’s director of outreach for companion animals Stephanie Shain said,

Most dogs sold in pet stores come from puppy mills — factory-like facilities, churning out purebred and ‘designer’ puppies in large numbers…Every time someone purchases a dog from a pet store, they risk perpetuating the horrendous business of puppy mills.

In addition to this, the society has expressed concern over the seeming haste with which the mother of two added the new pet member to the family. The animal welfare organization insists that a dog purchase is a major lifestyle decision, which should not be done in the impulse of a moment. The society is worried about the haste in which Britney added the $3000 pug to her family.

Taking impulsive decisions is something that Britney is famous for. In her case, buying a doggie in haste is of much less magnitude than shaving your hair…what do you think?
