After that quickie Vegas wedding with Jason Alexander, Britney’s husband of approximately fifteen vodka-drenched minutes in Las Vegas, it felt like she has found her life mate when she married K-Fed, but we’re all wrong.
It is official guys (& girls) Britney Spears had filed for divorce!
Britney Spears is finally dropping that no-good, talentless husband of hers who brought out her trashiness. In the meantime, Kevin Federline is out promoting his new album– I bet he suddenly gets a lot of media interest.
TMZ obtained the legal papers, filed today in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing “irreconcilable differences.” In her petition, Spears asks for both legal and physical custody of the couple’s two children, one-year old Sean Preston and two-month old Jayden James, with Federline getting reasonable visitation rights.
I don’t want to imply that Kevin Federline was the main culprit in this relationship, however, he clearly indicated sometime back that the relationship is going to the dogs and he might be seeing someone else six months down the line.
Significantly, Britney lists the date of her marriage as October 6, 2004. There was an uproar around the time of the wedding because the highly publicized “secret” ceremony was held on Sept. 18th, leading many to question the validity of the ceremony. Now the divorce documents indicate that the lavish ceremony was not the official wedding.
Their relationship was not strong enough as to last long. From the day Kevin and Britney met, there have been constant rumors and inaccurate speculation about their lives together and it all have come to an upsetting end. May be she will be reclaiming her pop-princess crown again.
