Britney Spears seems to enjoy her bit of controversies. The singer who started as a teenage sensation has been in the news for all the wrong reasons off late and her latest album – “Blackout” is now the centre of attention.
In the album she is seen straddling a priest in a confession booth. Strangely enough, her personal life has been on the rocks and now it seems to have spilled onto her professional life as well.
The photographs are certain to spark a storm amongst Catholics and Protestants and may invite bitter reactions from both the communities. The album will be released shortly and the promo images released show Britney wearing evoking clothes and sitting on a priest’s lap in a confession room. This is just one controversy and she had to pay compensation to the victim in the hit and run case against her.
Is she fast becoming a controversy magnet? Or this move is another marketing gimmick to give her album the much needed mileage? And, will the audience fall in to the gimmick? Only time will tell.
