Love her or hate her, but Britney Spears has officially been crowned the most popular celeb on the web. The Pop Princess was named “Top Search on Internet” according to search engine Ask Jeeves. And the icing on the cake is that Britney’s roller-coaster lifestyle – which kept her in the news throughout the last decade – proved strong enough to help her surpass U.S. President Barack Obama’s popularity.

BRITNEY SPEARS has been crowned the most searched for celebrity on the internet in the last decade, after a turbulent 10 years in the spotlight. The Toxic hitmaker shot to fame in 1998 with her debut track Baby One More Time, and during her time in the limelight she has been married twice, given birth to two children and suffered a very public meltdown, which saw her hospitalised on an involuntary psychiatric hold in 2008.
