In a shocking incident, actress Brittany Murphy died yesterday morning (Sunday December 20, 2009) after she went into full cardiac arrest and revival attempts failed. She was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 10:04 a.m. She was 32.
TMZ reports,
A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ. We’re told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Her time of death was listed as 10:04 AM.
Besides starring in films such as Clueless; Happy Feet; Girl, Interrupted; 8 Mile; Uptown Girls; and The Ramen Girl, she also starred in several TV roles and lent her voice to the character Luann on more than 200 episodes of Fox???s animated series King of the Hill.
An investigation into her death is ongoing, but the police has ruled out any foul play at this stage.
