The sixth season contestant of American Idol, Sanjaya Malakar is once again set to rock Americans’ hearts. Sanjaya and his sister Shyamali Malakar will soon launch their own variety program and are currently in talks for the program that will be popularly known as ‘The Sanjaya and Shyamali Show’.
18-year-old Sanjaya, who caught everyone’s attention on American Idol and reached 7th place with public votes, despite bad criticism of show’s judges, has now teamed up with sister Shyamali for the program that will be a blend of singing, dancing and comedy.
Both Seattle born, sister and brother contested for sixth season of American Idol in September 2006. Sanjaya became known for his odd hairstyles and made it to Top 7 as he performed ‘”Something to Talk About’ but got eliminated. However his sister Shyamali could not even make upto Top 40 and was eliminated in the Hollywood round.
