Burger King goes McDonald’s way with alternate oil, remains ‘greasy’ on nation-wide launch

burger king22 7Followed by the trans-fat free oil testing by McDonald, it is reportedly the turn of burger chain owner Burger King to test its new trans-fat free oil. Facts provided claim that Burger King would roll out its alternate oil in the last part of 2008.

Though the burger chain has not revealed the vital ingredient in its alternate oil, yet it has pitched high about consumer responses on the in-restaurant testing of the oil.

Noteworthy point about both Burger King and counterpart McDonald is the attempt made by the fast food joints to join as fast as possible the ordinance deadline of July 1st, passed by the USDA to ban Trans fats in all the restaurants.

Considering the fact that most of the fast food giants have already made a nationwide launch of Trans fat free oil, it leaves Burger King and McDonald with very little reason for a delay in their respective launches.

Moreover, the attempt of McDonald and Burger King should be making their menu adjust to the alternate oil and not otherwise for the sole reason that the fast food giants can afford to have innovation in their old recipes.
