Cancer-stricken Dennis Hopper gets Hollywood star

Dennis Hopper was honored with a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday. The 73-year-old actor, who is battling terminal prostate cancer, stunned fans with his undying spirit as he unveiled the star on Hollywood Boulevard. In spite of new injuries due to a fall outside his home, Hopper’s liveliness reflected the resident Easy Rider in him as he displayed the star with his name on it.

An ailing DENNIS HOPPER shocked fans when he turned up to unveil his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday (26Mar10) – he was sporting bandages on his head and hand. The Easy Rider star is suffering from terminal prostate cancer and reportedly has just weeks to live, but he made an appearance outside the Egyptian Theatre, where he was honoured with the 2,403rd star on Hollywood Boulevard.


A big and hearty congratulations to you, Mr. Hopper. It’s not that you need any more proof to make us worship you, but the 2,403rd star on Hollywood Boulevard is definitely going to make us feel even more proud. Salute to the Easy Rider!
