Being in spotlight is what everybody wants, especially celebs. Celebs and controversies go hand in hand. They become a subject of discussion many times that make their way to spotlight. Almost all celebs have faced one or the other thing, whether positive or negative and being a public figure, they cannot even hide anything.

Famous pop star Selena had gone through backlash for exposing her right leg in the mosque at Abu Dhabi. Gomez received a lot of outrage from people, especially Muslims. The discussions went viral all over social networks. Another act of her that brought her into spotlight was wearing a traditional Hindu bindi in videos and stage performances. Hindus protested against it and demanded apology from her for flaunting Bindi that holds religious significance, as a fashion. So Selena was in top lists of discussion in 2014.
Miley Cyrus
Miley’s Bangerz tour controversy was all over in discussions this year. Miley’s weird twerks, tongue wagging, and doing nasty things on the stage created a lot of buzz. The tour finally ended as many parents were upset with such an act of Miley. Besides that, her music video “wrecking ball” also grabbed a lot of attention from people around the world because of Miley going nude in the video.
Kim Kardashian
Kim attracted attention of everyone posing nude for Paper magazine and posted it on Instagram that went viral. She received appreciation for this act along with some criticism. But doing this brought a lot of attention to the woman that she wanted.
Justin Bieber
Bieber created a lot of mess this year. First, he went to the jail for driving under influence and then he peed in front of the camera of the jail for which he apologized later on for not posting this video online. Bieber also got arrested for hit and run case. So overall, he has been in news for all the bad stuff he did in the year.

Celebs have to create some buzz to remain in spotlight. While some do it positively, some choose the other way around. No doubt, it makes them more popular but sometimes it goes wrong completely creating a negative image that sometimes may affect their fan following.
