So far, the sensational pop singer Christina Aguilera has tasted success in the international music circuit and is now all set to hit the silver screen. Reports have it that the superstar has signed to cast in ‘Humboldt Park’. She will be seen in the movie alongside Katie Holmes, Freddy Rodriguez and John Leguizamo.
Sources have revealed Holmes’ undertaking risk by starring alongside the Grammy winner. Apparently, Tom Cruise’s wife is trying to prove that she can do some strong roles and not just act in fluffy popcorn movies. ‘Humboldt Park’ is a family drama movie, which tells the story of three children who return back to their parents’ home in Humboldt Park for their holidays.
The pop star will start shooting weeks after she is due to give birth to her first child. The production of the movie is scheduled for February 2008. The movie will see Christina for the first time on the silver screen. But, this is not the pop singer’s first stint with acting.
Married to Jordon Bratman, Christina was a former cast member of The New Mickey Mouse Club. She has also played a cameo in Beverly Hills, 90210. In 2004 the superstar was the host on a Saturday Night live episode.
Fans of the killer vocal chord-possessor will be waiting for the release of her first movie ever. The admirers across the globe will be excited to see their favorite singer hit the silver screen for the first time! Only time can tell if Christina will be able to perform and sizzle the silver screen as effectively as she does with the Top charts.
