We have often witnessed the guests banging their heads while dodging questions on the Tonight Show, but last night’s episode was totally different. Tonight Show host Conan O’Brien found himself on the receiving end and suffered a concussion after hitting his head while filming a stunt with guest Teri Hatcher.
Conan intended to poke fun at Teri’s recent participation in a triathlon, but sadly, it was not his day. ET quotes Teri as saying,
We did this bit and at the very end, when we ran in to cross the finish line, he slipped as he was crossing the finish line and hit his head. And the thing was, I was in front of him so I didn’t see it initially. I was just a wreck, like we had a great day and it couldn’t have been better — and then that was the ending to it, and it was awful; you don’t want to see anyone get hurt.
We wish Conan a speedy recovery and congratulate him on mugging up the lesson that a mock triathlon could be as demanding as the actual triathlon. Go easy, Conan!
