FDA is reported to be wise enough to declare that spinach grown in places other than the California counties of Monterey, San Benito or Santa Clara is safe for consumption. Facts provided by FDA also leave the verdict to consumers to eat spinach only if the latter is sure of the farm from which the spinach is sourced. Apparently, status of tainted spinach has mellowed down, as bags of spinach are appearing back in the supermarket shelves along with its restoration in dinner menus.

There have been evidences that show that people had not stopped consuming spinach even after brouhaha on its contamination, though most of them had switched over to organic spinach and for good reasons. Therefore, Americans were determined to have it and that made them search the pest-free stuff for their platters.

Spinach is an integral part of American diet from polenta, stews, soups, salads, juices, pasta, steaks, cheese and many vegetable wraps and there cannot be any flavor substitute to it. Fresh Farms, Whole Foods and many other organic foods store know like their consumers that there is no substitute to spinach and therefore, a conditional approval from FDA has made them go head over heels to get a verdict for farm fresh spinach.
