Controversial photos embarrass Miss France

To become a celebrity means to remain politically correct. Valerie Begue became Miss France only a fortnight back, but before she could enjoy her life of a beauty queen in full swing, she has been plagued by some controversial photos.

Before becoming a part of the beauty pageant, Valerie had posed for photos in bikini on a floating cross in a swimming pool. The image had hurt the sentiments of Christians. Miss Begue has been asked to resign by the head of Miss France Committee.

Is it correct to condemn Miss Valerie for something she had done before she became a beauty queen? She should be condoned, as she has not contravened her contract that does not allow her to pose for any controversial photos for the next five years after she had won the crown. Controversy can bring some publicity to a lesser-known person, but the winner of Miss France tiara is harmful for such unwanted propaganda.
