Courtney Love, the singer, has been sued! A drug rehabilitation centre is suing Courtney Love and the charge against the vocalist being her unremitting knock-back to pay her $US181, 000 ($A233, 000) bill for her stay at the luxury California retreat one and a half years ago.
The court case, filed on March 1 in Orange County Superior Court, states that Courtney paid $US10,000 ($A13,000) when she entered Beau Monde, an oceanfront location in Newport Beach in August 2005. But she still owes $US181, 286 ($A220, 000). The lawsuit exposed:
Even though insisted several times by claimant, verbally and in writing, not any of the balance stated has been paid.
Howard Weitzman, Love’s lawyer, told that the lawsuit will be decided upon to the approval and satisfaction of all the parties soon.
The forty-two years old singer was sentenced to 180 days at a drug handling facility for violating probation in three crime cases in September 2005. One for illicit possession of painkillers, one for being under the influence of a controlled substance in public, and another for assault and battery. These cases against her were released by a judge who also ended her probation.
