Portia De Rossi has finally cornered her long term partner Ellen DeGeneres and the gay couple has planned a june wedding.
The Arrested Development star has been in relation with comedian Ellen DeGeneres since 2004 and she is happy that her partner has agreed for a june wedding.
She confronted Ellen about their future plans after Ellen had finished hosting the Oscars. As per the magazine National Enquirer:
Portia demanded that Ellen marry her. After lots of talk and plenty of hints, Portia finally confronted Ellen right after the Oscars about making a commitment.
Ellen, the 49-year-old host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, is a self confessed gay and the story related to her announcement of being gay is an interesting one. In 1997 a special episode of her sitcom Ellen featured her character, Ellen Morgan, announcing “I’m gay”. At the same time Ellen DeGeneres made her real life public too, by announcing her relation with actor girlfriend Anne Heche.
Ellen was attached to Anne Heche till 2004 when Heche broke up with DeGeneres and went on to marry male cameraman Coley Laffoon.
Portia De Rossi, 34-year-old former wife of Mel Metcalfe is an open lesbian. She has a personal life quite similar to her would-be-groom. She was attached to singer Francesca Gregorini from 2000 to 2004 in a lesbian relation.
The couple has planned for a lavish ceremony at their California home in june, when Ellen gets a break from her chat show.
The soon-to-be-wed couple are very happy and literally sitting on the clouds.
