Posh Spice and former England football captain David Beckham will be leaving Spain and heading for California after the former England captain signed a record-breaking £128million deal with a football club in Los Angeles.
David Beckham confirmed on Thursday, according to E Online, that he was leaving the Real Madrid team and coming to play for the Los Angeles Galaxy in what is being called the biggest deal in sports history, with a salary $250 million for five years.
David Beckham said in a statement,
After discussing several options with my family and advisers to either stay here at Madrid or join other major British and European clubs, I have decided to join the Los Angeles Galaxy and play in the MLS from August this yea.
According to friends of the couple, it was Victoria who forced her hubby to move from Spain to California. Victoria Beckham along with Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise whom she considers her good friends was spotted in Beverly Hills last month searching for a house.

In footballing terms, it’s a disastrous move because soccer in America is nothing like as big as it is in Europe. But economically, Beckham can’t lose.
He has a basic salary that’s five times what he was on in Spain. And he has the chance to take control of a new market and boost what he can earn from global sponsors. It’s a clear sign he’s looking beyond the end of his playing career.
Hollywood supervising producer Ryan Patterson said,
This is a big, big, big deal. The office here is atwitter this morning. We have had so many people volunteering just to be on Posh and Becks watch.
Well Beckhams are not just moving to California but they are going rich. And several prominent paparazzi agencies told celeb website TMZ that they were getting set to follow the Beckhams’ every step when the couple move to the US.
