David Carradine laid to rest

Kung Fu star David Carradine was finally laid to rest in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills Saturday evening. The funeral service was held at the Hall of Liberty and was attended by hundreds of mourners, including family members, former co-stars and other Hollywood figures.

People reports,

A white hearse containing Carradine’s casket arrived at the cemetery around 3 p.m., accompanied by an escort of Hell’s Angels on motorcycles. The service started about two hours later after an estimated 400 people filed into a chapel on the grounds of the 400-acre cemetery to mourn the star, who was best known for his leading role of Kwai Chang Caine on TV’s Kung Fu.

Over the next two hours, Carradine’s brothers, children and friends ??? including his Kill Bill costar Michael Madsen and pal Stacy Keach, who starred in The Long Riders with Carradine ??? stood and shared memories of the actor with the crowd. A photo montage of the 72-year-old star’s life was projected on a big screen and two of his children performed on the piano and harp.

Carradine was found dead in a Bangkok hotel room on the 4th of this month with a cord around his neck and other parts of his body. The investigation into the cause of Carradine’s mysterious death is ongoing.
