David Beckham is holding a bash to which even his dearest wife is not invited.
The soccer star is organizing a working-class – men-only – leaving do in a London pub before he finally moves to America in June. Those invited to the bash include his old pals with whom he has spent his childhood, his old time soccer friends and Manchester Utd stars.
The bash is going to be his final farewell to his English footballing life and career before moving to Hollywood to join LA Galaxy in a £125 million move. The low cost affair will not have any fancy Victoria like ideas. The menu will be very simple and the guests will feast only on curry and beer in a pub instead of the usual champagne and canapes.
A source close to David revealed,
David is busy planning his boys-only do at the moment and has warned Victoria she’s not invited. He doesn’t want her making any glam suggestions for the bash. It will be a down-to-earth event, in a very low-key location, and David is considering serving his favourite foods from when he was a lad like Chinese, Indian and stir-fry. He doesn’t want anything like champagne and canapes – it’s a boys’ night and a tribute to his past and his football.
The celebrated footballer is busy venue hunting in London these days and is looking forward to booking a local pub. Beckham’s father Ted is also helping him organize the event.
The celebrity friends need not turn green as the Beckhams are also planning a lavish bash in Amberley Castle towards the end of May. The glitzy £750,000 party will see the presence of 500 celeb guests dressed to the American-themed star-studded affair.
