Easter eggs, Easter cakes and lots of Easter goodies delight, but a recent display of the Diamond Stella Egg at the La Maison du Chocolat in London is bound to thrill us all. A recent report shows that the Diamond Stella Egg is covered with 100 half-carat diamonds and is priced at $100,000.
To bite or not to bite in the 60 centimeter tall Easter egg is a matter that can be put aside for a moment, but what cannot be ignored is the way the diamonds were directly crusted on to the body of chocolate, in a specialty shop in Paris. You have to carefully pick out all the diamonds from the chocolate body to cherish what stands rich for you and me; and this time it is the most edible stuffing of peach and apricot chocolate and pralines right beyond the diamond-studded shell…didn’t I tell you it is thrilling. My previous post on chocolate studded with diamonds reflected the love of a jeweler towards Africa, but this trend of studding edibles with precious stones has caught up for the Easter theme.
