Dr. Gregory House, the House M.D. fame, reveals that being a doctor on television and not in real life makes him guilty. According to the British actor, it would have disheartened his late father, who was a doctor, that the actor serves as a doctor on television but isn???t one actually. Hugh Laurie is the lead actor of the hit U.S. drama House M.D., where he portrays the character of a crippled, miserable, self-centric doctor who is also the best one around.

According to Aceshowbiz, the cranky diagnostician at Princeton General, Dr. Gregory House, aka Hugh Laurie, has another addition to his many traits. This time that of guilt. Laurie feels guilty for playing the doctor on TV and not in real life. Dr. House feels that his father wouldn???t have approved of his doctor image in the reel life, since his father was a doctor. Notably, this T.V. series has won him a number of awards, two of them being the coveted Golden Globes. Like every doctor father, Ran, Laurie???s father, wanted him to be a doctor for real. Laurie instead chose to be Dr. House M.D. in reel.

Dr. House states that ???shortcuts??? weren???t something his dad would have appreciated. Laurie, a keen motorcycle enthusiast, actor and musician claims that it is alright to en route shortcuts. The 52 year old, self-centric, somewhat miserable and truthful to the extent of being rude, asserts that he chickened out of Medical school since it requires rigorous hardship and to pass the exams one has to be extraordinarily blessed in the brains department.

???Seriously, this is a source of great guilt to me.???, maintains the actor, as told to Daily Express. Guess it???s time to diagnose the underlying cause of not being a doctor, Dr. House.
