Hugh Laurie is the lead actor of the hit U.S. drama House M.D., where he portrays the character of a crippled, miserable, self-centric doctor who is also the best one around.

Laurie feels guilty for playing the doctor on TV and not in real life. Dr. House feels that his father wouldn???t have approved of his doctor image in the reel life, since his father was a doctor. Notably, this T.V. series has won him a number of awards, two of them being the coveted Golden Globes. Like every doctor father, Ran, Laurie???s father, wanted him to be a doctor for real.
